Cat C1
A Rigid Medium Goods Vehicle is also known as a Rigid up to 7½ tonne.
You must be at least 18 years old. You need this licence if you are looking to become a Paramedic, drive a horse box or a motor home, or become a delivery driver.
You will need to have a medical so you can apply for the provisional entitlement on your licence. We can arrange a medical for you and help you complete all of the forms to apply for your provisional entitlement.
You will also need to complete two theory tests; a multiple choice and a hazard perception, which we can arrange for you.
We recommend that you come in for an assessment drive once you have your provisional licence back so you can see exactly how many days training you require and obtain an accurate quotation.
Once you have obtained your Cat C1 licence you will then be able to sit your Cat C1+E or your Cat C (you can however jump straight to your Cat C without doing your C1 licence).
Your licence will be valid until your 45th birthday when the DVSA will send you a renewal and a medical form.
Please contact us if you require a renewal medical.
