An Articulated Large Goods Vehicle is also known as Cat C+E, Class 1 or Artic.

You can only apply for this licence once you have passed your Category C (Rigid, Class2).

After passing your Cat C test either you or the DSA examiner will post your licence along with a copy of your pass certificate to the DVSA. When you receive your licence back you will have the provisional entitlement for the C+E (CE). You do not have to sit another theory test for the C+E.

Your licence will be valid until your 45th birthday when the DVSA will send you a renewal and a medical form.
